The Jerseys are ok but someone in the Steelers deisgn office really has a fetish for the thin pinstripes. All the shorts would look better without then and less busy.

We've bought the 12 game pack

I agree about the shirts looking too busy. Most NHL shirts have changed very little in years. I guess the reason being the simplest, most straightforward design is often the best. I get that we have all the sponsors logo’s, but over complicated designs compound the problem in my opinion.

Its entirely down to generating merchandise sales which of course is an essential part of the business,..

In design terms, what sells rules, if you dont get the uptake you dont repeat the mistake, it's simple as that, if you get a good uptake then you milk the idea for what it's worth,.

When sales account for such a big part of the financial stability of year to year success on the ice then design and then redesigning the same thing become huge, if you keep it the same year in year out as in the NHL then fans will see no point to buying new merchandise which then affects profits and you get into a spiral of diminishing profits and it gets harder to come up with that killer idea again..

In design you just can't keep everyone happy, minimalism and maximalism are the same as simple and Cluttered..

One man's turd is the gardeners gold.. We have to put up with a bit of manure to get the odd rose..

In short if it wasn't for the pin stripes we might get the god awful Metallic Mustard or the British racing Snot colours the Panthers came up a few season ago or the god awful pink away kit that Sheff Utd play in :arrg: :!:

Has the EIHL announced if the games will go with one referee or two and who the refs will be?

Coventry’s Paul Swindlehurst has been ruled out for at least two weeks with an upper body injury sustained while icing with the Blackburn Hawks in the NIHL 1 North Cup.

Nottingham take on Coventry tonight in a warm-up game which will also serve as a streaming service rehearsal.

Nottingham are without Brett Perlini while Luke Ferrara is still icing in Poland before he links up with Coventry. Hammond flew in today so won’t ice, Swindlehurst injured.
