Things still to iron out but that sounded like a tough test which we have come out of with points on the board. Take the positives all day from that.
Another positive, whilst PP stats are currently below par (2 from 6 if you count the 5 on 3 as a single penalty as it was virtually a full overlap), the PK is flawless so far (0 from 6)
I have a Barnsley game on Saturday but enjoyed yesterday a lot and wondering whether to do a double header, heading straight down from Barnsley to Sheffield as I fancy being there for the Panthers.

You can't really complain at a 4 point weekend.
I didn't watch the game tonight, but I've been following the stats.
Biggest concerns for me would be the faceoffs, which we lost 36 to 21 (that's dreadful).
Also it would appear the 3rd period was all Guildford according to Tracking, which is disappointing considering we'd got back into the game. I thought we'd push on in the 3rd.
Overall though the stats had us at 67% to win the game, so you can't really say it was a lucky victory..
Congratulations to Robert Dowd.....that's an amazing achievement. The bar needs to be set high for shirt retirements, but I think he would be deserving.

Whilst I don’t think we deserved to lose this game, I’m not sure we deserved to win it either.
36 faceoff wins to 21 for the Steelers is not good enough. Neither is a 9.4% powerplay.
Rockwood, Gettinger and Aarnio don’t improve this team from last season IMO. 6’5” isn’t he Gettinger? Zero physicality from him. I thought Collins was brought in to win face offs? He won 1 out of 5 today.
Take the two points and move on.
This team as it stands now will not be challenging the best teams in the league IMO.
