Got no words for how poor that period was. We’ve got a losing mentality.

So far in this game the team is showing no interest or effort , which after losing last night , is not acceptable. Flames are really enjoying themselves, being allowed to stroll about and play recreational hockey. They have just outshot us in our barn and when they take the puck off our players we show no fightback or chase to recover it. They are just allowed to skate away unchallenged. Our checks would not frighten a baby and the passing and shooting is inexorable ( Lord knows if I have spelled that right. )
To add insult to injury the webcast is showing games from last year and the difference in effort is palpable. ( Ron is commentating too, come back Ron ! ) although Jonathan Fearnley is telling it as it is bless him.
Maybe the last period will make my post look daft. I hope so, but suspect not.

I bump into Ron in my local area a few times a year. He’s always brilliant to speak to.Brian wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2026 5:36 pmSo far in this game the team is showing no interest or effort , which after losing last night , is not acceptable. I will not betray confidence, but when I spoke to him, I did say I missed him on the stream and asked him if he was coming back. Unfortunately, I think it’s very unlikely we’ll see him back, apart from maybe a guest appearance.
He did say, it’s really tough for Jonathan commentating pretty much on his own though.
