Punishment on the night was good enough for me. Didn’t think it deserved a game ban.

I agree, only way you get banned for that is if Látal was injured.

As it was it cost Manchester any chance in the game.

At what point do DOPS take a look at cumulative penalties and aggregate punishment? Or do they..

I think that’s how NIHL do it, Major Penalties = points & so many points = a suspension. Bit look football with accumulating yellow cards.

Should do Jay, should do. Out of interest he scored the opening goal tonight against the Panthers....yeah you couldn't make that up!

When I saw Springer’s hit on screen I thought it was a very late but otherwise clean hip check. I guess he didn’t see Latal shift the puck before passing behind the net. Result Latal not ready or expecting a check.

He didn’t need to make the hit though as Erhardt had Latal covered even if he had still been carrying the puck.

Needless, senseless and very late but not dirty. I think the crowd and Jonno’s reaction must’ve influenced the officials to give him a game penalty. Not surprised therefor that no additional DOPS sanction.

My concern is that for two games running he has been ejected for similar offences, only by luck was a serious injury avoided, that is a pattern of behaviour that should result in action, it's not like he doesn't have a history of this.
