Would hope for a reaction after a poor, if not disastrous loss on Sunday.
Manchester are the very worst side the EIHL has to offer away from home on decent ice, picking up just 10 points all year outside the Storm Shelter.
A win here means we could still do it with just 2/3 regulation wins vs Belfast. But after Sunday, that is not a given, Manchester won’t just roll out the red carpet for us despite their away woes.

Biggest game of the season every night now - a simple must win for us. If we lose this Belfast only need 3 points from the weekend against us to lift the trophy in our arena on Sunday.
I think we will come out strong with a huge point to prove and 2 huge points on the line.
If we play at a high intensity from the start I'm confident we can take the points.
Could we see some line-up changes, is it the right time to give Traversa and / or Feldner a game? Could we even see Barry back for this one and give Rok both starts on the weekend?

EIHL'S scenarios:
*How do Belfast win the league this week?
Scenario A:
Belfast win both games vs. Sheffield in regulation
At this point, the Giants would have 84 points and the Steelers' maximum would only be 83
Scenario B:
Manchester beat Sheffield on Wednesday night in regulation
Belfast pick up at least three points in Sheffield
At this point, the Giants would have 83 points which would be the most Sheffield can get
Belfast currently hold the Regulation Wins tie-breaker 35-30
In this scenario, Sheffield would not be able to better the tie-break in their final two games and would therefore be unable to finish above Belfast
Scenario C
Manchester beat Sheffield in overtime or a shootout
Belfast win both games vs. Sheffield
At this point, the Giants would have 84 points while the Steelers' maximum would be only 82 or 83 (OT/SO loss)

I was just having a look at the faceoff stats from Sunday and it looks like Armstrong had a horror show.
My mate has also suggested that he's been on the ice for roughly half of the goals we've conceded in the last month.
Is it time to let Whistle play 3rd line centre and either offer Armstrong a role on the wing or even sit him out?
Regards

Without having actual evidence in front of me I've been cringing when we've had Amstrong, Dowd, Shulze and Davey on the ice together because they seem to concede a lot of goals.Doom wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 6:45 pmI was just having a look at the faceoff stats from Sunday and it looks like Armstrong had a horror show.

I'd definitely move Whistle up the line up, Hodgman should be at risk too. Maybe Armstrong out and Feldner in. I have liked his physical type play without him lighting up the board since his arrival.

With home support and a pressing need we should win this.
I think Feldner should definitely play and agree Armstrong seems tired or injured.
This is a crucial week for our season and we must make Belfast prove they are the better team if they are to beat us.
