Bode Wilde confirmed leaving his team in Germany - so the early rumour is definitely still a possibility. Also a couple of other imports leaving the same team - 2 centres, both who look very much potential EIHL players. No solid rumours but certainly on the market if not already signed up somewhere and not announced. Team finished 2nd in DEL2 so in theory would think a good indicator of a good to high level quality in our league.

I personally would take Pearson too. He is big, fast , very good hands and a hockey brain. He may be a loose cannon I don't know , but we have a history of lots of players who were like that but became heroes here , going right back to Rick Brabant !

Re-signings seem to be the only ones other than B. Whistle that have been correct - suspect they've genuinely been let slip, probably by players themselves

Don't know whether it's a Simms article wording mishap, or not but interesting line in the article just posted regarding more signings soon - "new faces re-joining is".

I can only think of 3 players that could possibly allude to if correct - Neumann, Jackson Whistle and Golod.

Any others that I've missed that realistically fit that bill?

Neither Simmsey nor the current website/media person are known for the finesse of their written contributions, so I wouldn't read too much into it. Golod would be great, but ideally we'll sign someone who has a young child who can proofread Steelers website news items.

I suppose Neumann would be no great surprise as he had a good season with Braehead and still looked speedy on his visits here. No idea why we booed him though . He was instrumental in winning a grand slam with us .

I did wonder about that after I posted. It certainly could do, and maybe that's the only one.
