Yep if that’s the best we can do then I’m not convinced, I said it earlier on in the rumours thread he was 13th best tender 20/21 season in ICEHL not a vastly better league than ours, I’d take him as our backup/duel setup we need better in the top spot. If Cardiff can sign a goalie like Carruth and Belfast Besko why can’t we attract them? We haven’t had a league winning goalie for years we almost had one last year however the former mentioned teams goalies were a standard above.Like it or not we after sign players with their kind of CV to be in with a chance.

Mike Hammond has been offered a contract by 3 Arena teams....

I'm guessing that's :

Sheffield
Nottingham
Belfast

Panthers look to have their centers signed already in Sorensen, Brady, Welsh, Myers and Kelsall - I guess they can move people on to the wing but they seem to have a decent selection already

Giants not so sure on as they have signed a number of new guys who EP have listed as centers but not always correct. Also, a lot depends on what Conway is doing as Belfast have already lost Hook from their Brit group so they could well have Conway and Hammond down the middle.

I would say it's between us and Giants for Hammond but who knows - we certainly look to have a space as a top 6 center available so fingers crossed

Tbf, Ervins Mustukovs, wasn't a bad N/M, think his off ice antics were spoken about alot more!

I would say it's between us and Giants for Hammond but who knows - we certainly look to have a space as a top 6 center available so fingers crossed

If rumours prove correct our slots are already filled can’t see Connolly been anywhere other than top line centre. Hammond would be an excellent pickup and would add strength down an otherwise dubious middle with scoring in abundance, think he will be Belfast bound they have the money to secure him unless we intend to carry an expensive spare which I highly doubt.

yes I’ve heard about his habits, decent Nettie but the standard was raised very high last season I don’t think even the Moose with his high libido would of usurped Besko and Mac.

Not a rumour but Rok has signed for a team in Poland so unless Barry returns we will have at least one new import goalie

We'll probably end up seeing two new faces in the Steelers net if we're to have a proper full time tandem and I doubt they will resign Barry due to the reliability of his health (he spent ages injured last season) and the two lads we have on contract are on a two-way with the Seahawks in the NIHL. I think the two they're announcing tomorrow morning will probably be the new tandem.
