Again, all I'm saying is PA sound in an arena is a nightmare, and not necessarily always possible to get perfect, even if you have managed to get it that way previously. That's why I mentioned about new/condition/servicing of equipment. Crikey, even a couple of speakers being a couple of inches rotated from previous positions can change the sound.

In an ideal world of course it would be perfect for everybody, all of the time in every part of the arena. To me it's no louder than it was 5, 10, 20 years ago. That could be because my hearing has got worse, or I've not reached an age yet where noise bothers me more, or I've been lucky and sat in areas where the sound feels balanced.

The H&S point, I doubt comes in to play, since it's probably covered by T&C's - otherwise every nightclub in existence would be getting shutdown
And yet a visit to Nottingham or Belfast and its never an issue.

Which changes what I said how?

It's a different arena with a different PA, and different sound techs.

Ever been to a big arena gig and it's sounded rubbish? And then been to the same arena and it sounded great? It's not just a simple plug in, set volume and away you go is all I'm saying, and sometimes, even a good sound engineer can't get an ideal sound.

Ultimately, there's some who think it's too loud, and a lot who don't seem to be bothered by it. Has anyone actually asked the club or arena management? (Apologies if been mentioned elsewhere just haven't seen)

Like as mentioned before, it's been an ongoing issue for a while now. Complaints have been made and as usual it falls on deaf ears.
We know the PA system is garbage.
We know the arena is old and never sounded great anyway but they've had years to address this and haven't.
One thing that does work is the master volume.
So, turn it down.
There should be a volume test before every game and another once the teams are coming out, coincidentally the exact moment when the man on the microphone starts shouting and the volume gets shoved up.

So is it no answer when raised as an issue, or is it just that the answer isn't "we'll turn the master down"?

If it's no answer, then fair enough to keep asking, but if it's been answered and it's more "this is the best balance we can currently achieve" then I'm not sure what you want Steelers management to do, beyond trying to get the Arena operators to try a new PA etc, which they might not be forthcoming with. Can't force them after all.

Complaints need to be directed to the Arena, any directed to the Steelers is just a waste of time and effort given the attitude of the man in the whitehouse, he wants it turned up to eleven because the louder he is the more it feeds his ego.

I directed my complaint to the Arena, three weeks ago and not had a reply other than an acknowledgment of my complaint.
Nothing has happened to rectify the problem that did not exist earlier in the season.
I have purchased ear plugs to enable me to get to the end of the season but I will not be renewing my season ticket.

The arena will do zero about it as there’s no laws being broken is my opinion.

The volume level is purely down to the organiser, which for me, is the complete responsibility of the Steelers to control.

Letters of complaints to both organisations would be my advice.
