Good result. They were a different team to Saturday. Frustrating that they can be chalk and cheese like beating Fife away in December by a cricket score but losing in the semi final. Seems we are better away than at home ! Still, keeps with a faint chance if results go our way but I feel it's Belfast's to lose, rather than ours to win now.

A great win...

But I am pretty dam sick of the boys turning up for an away game and short changing their fans at bloody home... :-o
And that's the problem right?
Inconsistent.
Laid a big fat egg on Saturday and we're all fuming then turn right up with all the chips in the middle of the table and put in a really solid road W.

Just when we think 'That's all Folks!' They reel us right back in.

Sadly I think we'll run out of games very quickly.

I can't say I feel much enthusiasm after this win.

I didn't see the game on Sunday, but I do know it's much easier to play the game when you have that extra second or two to control the puck or make the pass.

Belfast don't give the opposition any time on the puck and look head and shoulders above all the other teams in the league, the only reason they're not completely out of sight is because they were down to only 9 imports at one point during the season.

The question for me is why are they so much better? - Are they spending a lot more on their roster, are they recruiting much better and/or are they better coached with better tactics?

I can't say I really know the answer, but I do recall when we had our purple patch under Blaiser there were often comments about how poor teams had played against us - They were poor because we didn't let them play.

It seems certain to me that unless we increase our budget and/or Fox changes tactics and recruitment we're going to have to sit and watch Belfast do what we did under Blaiser.....Fair play to them, it's up to the rest of the league to find the answers.
