I clearly expect too much then. It grinds my gears that a professional sports club aren’t interested in the result. I play amateur sport and would never accept losing and always play to win.
Why play our number 1 goalie then if we’re not interested and potentially risk an injury? Can Barry only play once a month? Play Warburton if we’re not bothered. Belfast did.
I’ve seen many times in ice hockey and in other sports, taking the foot off for a few games can really make a difference when it’s time to put the foot back on again as the team can’t find the intensity required.

You will notice when Man City have a champions league game coming after a league cup game they virtually play a second eleven in the league cup. It reflects which game they value most and it doesn't stop them winning the important games !
