2nd game or the mini road trip: Manchester - Cardiff - Glasgow

Home ice for Cardiff, they will be looking to take revenge for the 4-0 beating we handed them at our place..

Hopefully they can keep the wins coming but a very difficult game in middle of a busy schedule

It really wouldn't be the end of the world if we lost this one to be fair.

Cardiff lost to Guildford last game out for them and we beat Manchester.

A difficult run of fixtures for us with 4 game in 6 days.

From Cardiff's point of view this is a must win for them if they want to eat into our large lead.

3-2 Cardiff.

No, No and No again , this is not the time to accept a loss, there is never a right time but not against the team closest to you in the league, this is where you step up and make a statement, you go for domination, you go to break their spirit and belief that they can compete with us, there isn't that much between the teams and if you give them a chance they will be on the chase and we'll be looking over our shoulder instead of to the finish line. All the great teams have a ruthless streak and we have to have the same. I get they may be tired with the schedule, it's a tough one right now but Cardiff have even more games with the Conti Cup. The sooner you make a league title certain the sooner you can relax, no drop in standards or effort, be remembered as part of a great team and not just a good one, us older fans can still recite the roster of THAT grand slam team over twenty years later because they became legends, and all this time later if they were to step onto the arena ice there would still be a standing ovation for them, that is something earned by few players in any sport because it is so difficult to achieve.

If I could send a New Year message to the players right now it would be this.

Be better than good, be great, and become legends.

Cardiff supporters are currently very disgruntled with their team, I see this as an opportunity for their players to at least gain some credit with them. As a club they're hurting right now, so I would expect them to be really fired up at the start of this game and try to make a statement.

If we can find a way to get a win down there, unless we suffer some major injuries or long term illness in the camp, I can't see us blowing it this season (yes I know.....Who can stop the Panthers? :Smiled: ).

It's a tough schedule, but these players have proved themselves more than capable this season. No doubt we will lose some games and have a bad weekend here or there, but unlike last season, I think we have too much character and ability to make it a habit.

We're currently in a very strong position, let's not give our rivals a sniff.

Regards

I’d agree that we would always want and go out to win this game no doubt.

My point was it wouldn’t be the end of the world if we didn’t with the great lead we have currently.

I’d love to win this one at Cardiff’s building and I’m sure that’s what the players will be going out to do.

Great snipe from Vallerand!

Played well despite the early setback.
