It doesn’t take long does it.

As soon as we are playing well, we’re accused of potentially breaking wage caps etc. Didn’t see anyone accusing Belfast with their deserved grand slam win last season when it came to salaries etc.

I hope we win the league by a 40 point margin.

It suits some to distract from their own poor performance by making allegations against others, while ever there isn't a draft / salary cap system like the NHL then those clubs who have better or bigger commercial operations will be able to better reward players either directly in wages or indirectly by things like University courses , better housing / cars / family support etc. The top three should be Sheffield , Belfast and Nottingham , of those the Nottingham owner has shown no desire for several years to really compete, which is a real shame for a club with their history and Belfast have recruited poorly this year as evidenced by them jumping into the transfer market halfway though the season so heavily. Cardiff are not top tier, not far off with not incurring the hefty charges that come with hiring an Arena but won't be a true top tier club until they have a 7000 capacity venue, sometime they can make that gap close with good recruiting and coaching but not this year.

Dundee are shopping in a different market to ourselves, Belfast, Nottingham and Cardiff, there's no real surprise in the comments from Lefebvre

In terms of wages, I doubt there's much between the big 4 in regards to how much they've spent, I just think this season all our riskier signings have come off and our rivals have had issues.

Look at Belfast, their star netminder has dropped from 94% to under 90%, that's a huge difference which has probably cost them more than a goal a game.

Then there's the Tedesco nightmare. Brought in at high expense with expectation of 25+ goals, he's completely flopped.

At the start of the season I don't recall anybody saying we'd walk away with it, that's because when people were looking at the player's CV's ours weren't any better than those of our main rivals.

If we do win the league by a large margin maybe it's because players like Juusola have out performed the likes of Tedesco, even though the wages are probably similar.

Show a little respect for Fox and the quality of his recruitment this season. Throwing accusations of spending big is a cheap shot by those who have got it wrong this year with their recruitment.

Regards

Personally I’m loving it cause it means we are moving to be back on top where we’ve been missing for years.

Hope we beat Dundee 20 - 0 the next time we play em.

OH WELL,,, suppose we better ease off the gas then, so that if we win the league it is not by too many points OR perhaps the other sollution is for certain other people to get their teams to perform better against us THUS trying to stop us winning by too many points. Always the same, certain people always have an opinion when the time and situation suits them only

To be fair to Lefebvre, he never suggests we are over the cap, just that there's a difference in budget between Sheffield and Dundee, which is obviously true.

We've simply recruited very well this year, and found the right players for Fox's systems. Most fan predictions at the start of the year were Belfast, us and Cardiff. We've just struck gold on some of our signings, and others have had our problem from the last couple of years - good players but not the right players.
