Wait and see signing for me, we’ve been very successful in the Czech market from what I’ve seen in recent seasons their workhorses. I’d like to think based on his stats alone that he’d be bottom 6 but as previous posters have said the Czech league is hard to gauge its defence first oriented, I’d say there’s not a lot of risk to this signing if it doesn’t work out could be easily replaced.
I thought our centers were poor last season in terms of production and that is the area I think we can improve the most on.

On a pro rata basis for a 54 game season, the performance of our centers was:

Polak - 17 goals
Armstrong - 14 goals
Hodgman - 10 goals
Whistle - 10 goals

I've ignored Connolly and Oleksuk because they didn't play enough games, but both would have been very low (Oleksuk didn't score).

To put this into some context, Scott Conway was at 33 goals for Belfast.

Our top line centers really should be scoring more than 20 goals, only Whistle comes out with any credit from last season as far as I'm concerned.

Regards

We definitely need our top 2 centers to be way more productive than last season, that was a clear difference between us and the Giants, even if they get 15-20 goals each but bring a shed load of assists for our current and new wingers who I imagine will be speedy skaters and decent goal scorers then that would be a step forward in terms of last seasons center production.

We already have 3 wingers who have proven they can score (Dowd, Latal, Mosey) so we still have 3 top 9 wingers to sign and 2 top 9 centers, one of which will be a 1C. Hopeful we are still awaiting a top line import signing as it appears Raska and Latal will be second liners.

Looks a decent 2nd line Center especially if he’s good at face offs. Not writing him off as a first liner as he has similar stats to latal who was excellent last year. Looks like he’ll play with latal as well so if he is second line it looks promising for our first!
I'd be very happy with Raska and Latal on the second line to be honest!

I'd then be even more excited to see what Fox has lined up for the first line.
Oh 100% if those two are on the 2nd line it’s looking very good to get some good production from line 1

Welcome to Sheffield Adam.

A great age and looks like a good signing for us, looking forward to seeing him play.

I will take any “plays a physical game” comments with a pinch of salt though after falling for comments like that from some of last season’s signings like Ellerby for example.

Could Aaron be going for an all Czech line with the rumoured signing of Jan Mandat?

According to the Steelers web site, he’ll be wearing #69. Is this the first time that number has been worn?

This guy looks like he would be a very good signing to me. Impressive numbers in the Czech league if compared alongside Latal
