Hard to judge but I’d say Broda would be good for 20 goals Mandat 20-25 Mitchell 15 McNally 10-15

Of those, only Mandat really excites me.
I'd say Mandat 25 goals, the others probably nearer to 15, maybe slightly higher.
If you factor in 20 for Connolly, my guess is it will probably leave us a little bit behind Belfast, but slightly ahead of Cardiff.

We’re also looking to add experienced 2-way defenceman Sébastien Piché apparently.
Played at good levels across Europe.

20+ for Mandat - certainly the stand out 26 coming off a good year in ECHL. Could be good on a line with Raska and Latal.House_of_Steel wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 11:28 amThose last four if rumours prove correct would be.

10-15 for Mitchell - looks to play with a bit of bite in his game, with energy probably a third line guy in a similar mould to Eberle.
15-20 for - Broda looks decent statistically even coming off a couple of less productive seasons.
10-15 for McNally - still ended up with 12 goals for the Devils last season and would certainly give us someone ready to go.
Guessing we'd look something like this if the rumours are true:
Allen-Broda-Dowd
Latal-Raska-Mandat
Mitchell-Connolly-Mosey
McNally-Whistle-Jono
Nevalianen-Todd?
Piche-Jones
Schulze-Davey
NM
NM
Warburton
McClaughlin
This would definitely be a roster set up for depth scoring rather than heavily relying on one line, which to be honest I'm more than fine with. The D group looks very mobile and will definitely be active in joining the rush, maybe on the 'lighter' side but as Fox stated he isn't in the market for big bodies for the sake of it, if he feels they can't offer the skating he wants from his teams.

Certainly going to be mobile at the back (if true) which will allow us to transition well at pace and catch slower, less mobile D out for pace.
Probably a touch lightweight but I’ve said that ever since the days of Desbiens & Fitzgerald.
I’d like the fact we’re not going top heavy. Worked well for Belfast but they were only a couple of key injuries from trouble. Spreading the quality around means if one line has been found out by the opposition, a different one can ask other questions.

That's the positive I take from it if the forwards are as suggested.SteelerBlade wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 2:08 pmI’d like the fact we’re not going top heavy. Different styles will hopefully ask different questions of the opposition.
If we got Mandat I'd be intrigued to see how an all Czech forward line would perform.

I think we need to shake up out trying to balance the four lines in the Fox way.
If this was our forward line up, maybe we could try mixing the third and fourth line up a bit.
Mitchell, Connolly, McNally.
Phillips, Whistle, Mosey.
So we would have a nastier, more gritty physical pair of wingers with Conns holding it together and a high paced, speedy skating line but still defensively sound.
