Little Ball of Hate is the nickname for Brad Marchand, the Boston winger, after whom our wonderful contributor has named their avatar.
And, true to form, Marchand is well known for being antagonistic - hence the nickname.

If you have to explain 'em...😁
Thanks. I don't watch much NHL. Presumably the real Marchand doesn't disappear when challenged?

It’s strange that we get a comment from Nottingham and an arena that sits along side of The Meadows and St Anne’s…. mmmmm very blinkered me thinks.

Good news its coming to UK but why not Sheffield?
When I first heard about this I was curious too. Sheffield has great transport routes, it's very central in the UK so our own players can get here with a reasonable journey, and Sheffield arena has fantastic facilities to accommodate the people coming from their own countries to watch. Some people are just strange.

No other UK venue could possibly compete against the world famous Motorpoint Arena.

This evening on East Midlands Today, the CEO of thefabulous National Ice Centre was being interviewed about maintaining the rink the heat. His final words were "it's just an old tin shed!"

I do know, from living over here, that the Odyssey Trust expressed an interest in bringing those games to Belfast like they did in 2017.

The reaction to Nottingham getting the games has kinda irked a few for sure.
