I know this will be controversial and I will await the hate responses but give me simmsey any day rather than dows
100% agree.

As annoying as Mr Simms can be at times, Mr Dows is excruciatingly bad and cringeworthy.

His constant growling and repeating of the same old tiresome catchphrases are becoming unbearable.

“Noise for the Panthers. Noise for your Steelers!”
“Are you on dance cam?”
“Noise for the Panthers?”
“Noise for Steelers!!!!!!!!”

And so on...
I'm oposite in that I prefer Dows has he is always on point with timings and never seems to be talking whilst puck is in play. He's more of the Keep It Simple type.

Also he's a little more less shouty down the mic which to me results in clear anouncements.

I used to prefer Dows, but he has started shouting as well now or it seemed that way on Saturday.
The announcements are far too many with things repeated as nauseum and carrying on while the puck is in play.
By all means keep us updated with what's going on but do it when there is a break in play or during the intervals.

I think Steve is great at presenting, and seems to make it more fun.

Whoever is on the mike is not as important as the very high volume - making both equally awful!

Out of curiosity, where abouts do people sit in the arena?

We sit in 107, and have never really had any problems with the volume other than very occasionally when they seem to have pushed it up a fraction high for a brief second or two.

Never really had any ongoing issues with the loudness of it all though.

(maybe its just me, I kind of like all the theatrics and things that go along with the match night experience, I'm 100% there for the game, but I do like all the bells and whistles added on too)

To be fair, David Simms is very good on the mic. The atmosphere improves when Dave does his stuff.

We sit in 104, and, whilst the announcements are loud, they are very indistinct. We've missed a number of important announcements because of this. I can't understand why the scoreboard can't be used to update us on fixtures, £5 games etc.

The last time somebody spoke to me like he speaks to fans was 60 years ago at school.I’m way past being spoken down to by the likes of him.
