No one has mentioned the fact that he outscored Liam Kirk when he played in the OHL in the same season as him. Surely that's worth mentioning ?
Or scored at a comparable rate to Scott Conway in the ECHL, 0.65 PPG Vs 0.64 PPG....and he didn't turn out too bad last year. He's a very Belfast-esque signing IMO, makes a welcome change to see someone young and hungry with a point to prove.
What a lot of people fail to notice about the players that Belfast sign is the personal accolades these players hold before arriving even with modest ECHL numbers.

Scott Conway for example was named in the first Allstar team in 2 junior leagues and top scorer award 116 goals in BCHL

JJ picinnich

NCAA Champion,OHL champion,ECHL Kelly cup champion, ECHL first All Star team

It’s all good signing young players but if your signing young mediocre players then your not improving on signing old has beens.

While I agree with a great deal of what you say normally, with respect a lot of your more recent posts do seem to appear (to me) overly negative and a little repetitive, while I respect you views and your rights to express them I do wish you would maybe at least try to find a few more positives in some of your posts especially when we discuss players non of us have seen playing week in week out... :wonder: I am not want to upset you, just a observation..

A very different pick up for us (and Fox) a young guy with little pro and European experience.

Looks like a Fox style player still, fast and hard working with good endorsements from McGrath and Johnson.

Seems as though he'll be paired with Ciampini for sure and probably Allen to start with so that's gonna make him better straight away.

Excited to see this guy in orange sounds like he's coming with a lot of energy and excitement, hopefully he can bring that high end skill that I've seen from his OHL highlight package too and put up some first line points totals for us.

Only my opinion Jay I’ll button it now and wait for the season to commence this will be my last comment in any sort of negative light I promise😉
This is a 3rd/4th place team at best!

On a positive we have hockey back after the turmoil of recent years so I’m greatful for that and hopefully the last goalie will be a stud. Happy hockey days as Mr Wannabe would say and come on Steelers prove me wrong.

Welcome to Sheffield Brett,

A little bit of a wait and see signing for me, but I'm excited to see young and hungry players coming in which I would prefer to players in their twilight of their careers.

Looking forward to seeing him play.

Young, motivated, keen to prove himself. Sounds like Tanner when he first came to us. He proved to be a great addition to the team.
The trouble with looking at stats and previous performance is it only tells a small part of the story. The big thing is how they all hang together as a team. Cast your mind back to Ed Courtney - fabulous stats but didn't fit in to the team on the ice or in the dressing room.
Let give them a chance, changes can be made if required.

All depends on who our netminder will be, if it turns out to be Oskar Ostlund, then we have a very good roster imo, add that to Piche bring our last D man (potentially) then its looking good, I can see our young netminder backing Ostlukd up, depends on what budget Fox has left to play with.
