To me he comes over just like Zack Fitzgerald did and he he turns out to be that type of player too I will be happy enough, Zack didn't light up the scoring table but he could play a bit and was no mug on the ice...smbmetal wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 11:29 amWelcome to Sheffield Brandon,
I tried to refrain from commenting in the rumours section regarding his potential signing until he was or was not signed.
Whilst I didn't see that much of him last season at Cardiff I for one am delighted with him signing.
He will STICK UP for our players and isn't frightened of anyone in our league and for me, this is something a few of us have been crying out for.
I don't see him as 20 goal scorer or an assist machine, but someone who will work damned hard for the team and has the ability to change the MOMENTUM of the game by some old school in your face hockey.
Chuffed to bits he's signed for us. Hopefully we'll not be getting pushed around this year!
Not listened to his interview yet, but am looking forward to listening to it later.

Fitzy was absolutely a team first player, he looked after his team on the ice & was a respected character in the dressing room. If McNally is in the same mould he will be a great team addition.

Derek Cambell was a character all right, the problem he had was he liked to stop up late and get up even later if you get my drift... They had to go looking for him some nights and he missed the away game bus on a few occasions
