What are the latest rumours in terms of netminders?

This is the only one I’ve seen so far

https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/1 ... ar-ostlund
I'm more positive than I am negative with Ostlund.

He's only 30, recent SHL and DEL experience. It looks like the SHL was a step too far, but did decent numbers in the DEL.

I've a feeling he will be coming in to use us as one last chance to get into a top league. A big year with us could springboard him to that- that's fine by me

I think he's going to do well for us.

Didn’t this rumour (Ostlund) start when Steelers Twitter (June 17) mentioned Fox had made a signing & they would wear number 55?
Everyone went on Elite Prospects looking for a no 55.

Jay - you have Jordan McLaughlin down as 55 but official site shows 72

Was this the no 55?
Seems a long time to withhold signing news.
Both rumour Twitter accounts said Ostlund had been signed, a day or two later the club made a statement saying Fox has signed a new player who will wear 55. It was obvious to most because Ostlunds elite prospects page was linked to the Rumours Twitter feed and he indeed is number 55,

A number of supporters then I’m presuming guessed correctly and posted their reply of Oskar Ostlund is 55 on our clubs Twitter it then all went quiet 🤐

The two signing announcements, that over the weekend became one or two signings, did make me wonder if we have indeed got a netminder.
It seems finding a stud netminder is either low priority or a weakness in the Fox recruitment plan.

Gimme Luka Gracnar!

Made pro debut in EBEL at 16/17. International debut at 18 & even now heading to his prime years at 28 is consistently above .90%

I was hoping that our netminding situation would have been one of the first new signing(s) announcements.

I really hope Fox has saved the best signing until last.

So it looks like Sébastien Piché would normally wear #55 judging by all the media photos of him wearing the number! and he clearly signed some time back which points to him being the player the team was referring to wearing number #55 and maybe not Ostlund? :hey:

Ive got to say I am getting nervous about the netminder signing, why would we leave it has the last signing to announce? The club (Dave Simms) is either playing games with the fans or the signings have maybe not gone as they had hoped... If we sign a bang average netminder the whole squad has a different look to it... :peek:

From the outside looking Fox doesn't appear to have had much luck with the netminding situation, Barry was a disaster which was saved by Rok coming in at the last minute. The EIHL training session series, Muse??? was it got injured in his first game. And in Fox's first season we didn't have a league leading netminder in Duba.

He really cannot afford to get this wrong, or there's a strong chance we won't compete to win silverware and he might be looking for another coaching job elsewhere.

A few of the new signings have said one of the main reasons they have signed is to continue the 'winning tradition', without a good netminder, they'll not be much of that continuing IMO.
