This may have been covered elsewhere already so apologies if so, but as we have 2 games prior to the shirt launch are we playing in training tops in those games or is the shirt launch not so much the shirt launch and more the shirt purchase with the launch being in the Nottingham games the weekend before?
From Steelers website regarding shirt launch:
Please note that The Steelers will NOT wear their regular shirts for the exhibition games on the 27th August Vs Nottingham Panthers and 3rd September Vs. Coventry Blaze.
Good news for Steelers fans – An 8th £8 game at the Arena this season.
The Sheffield Steelers wish to confirm that our home fixture on Saturday 14th January against Guildford Flames has now been taken off the season ticket and made one of our special £8 all ticket games. Coming so soon after Christmas we hope that this will encourage more supporters to the game and create an even better atmosphere inside the Arena.
Good news for Season Ticket Holders is that our Play Off quarter final (to be played on either Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th April) will now be included on the 25-game season ticket.
To confirm the 8 (eight) confirmed £8 all ticket games (including fees) are as follows.
Saturday 3rd September Vs. Coventry Blaze
Thursday 6th October Vs. Guildford Flames
Wednesday 19th October Vs. Dundee Stars
Wednesday 9th November Vs. Coventry Blaze
Wednesday 21st December Vs. Dundee Stars
Thursday 14th January Vs. Guildford Flames
Wednesday 15th February Vs. Dundee Stars
Sunday 19th March Vs. Guildford Flames
To Confirm, the Steelers Play Off Quarter Final that will be played on either Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th April will now be included as game number 25 on the Steelers season ticket.
Please also note that it is likely there will be further £8 games announced in season should the Steelers qualify for progression rounds of the Challenge Cup.
Steelers believe that these discounted games play an important part of our season where fans who perhaps can’t manage to bring their families to our regular season weekend games can enjoy a night with the Steelers at a heavily reduced ticket price.
We also hope that these games can be utilised by new fans experiencing the Steelers for the first time – watching the country’s biggest ice hockey club, playing inside the Elite Leagues largest arena.

I think in years past they generally always have one-off jerseys for pre-season. Kind of like the ones we wore against Aalborg and Leksands etc.
All 3 are OK.
Just that.
Not really overwhelmed by any of them but they're not by any means awful.
Probably the CC one is the one for me.
Don't think I'll buy one though.
Massive well done to the Steelers org for the shirt launch tonight. Superb event, credit where credits due.
Pretty excellent to be fair.
The band sounded awful though. Nothing on their part, they seemed like a well rehearsed lot but that building and the set up they had doesn't do any band any favours.
I enjoyed elements of the shirt launch. It was my first one and didn’t know what to expect. However, I felt sorry for the players. Probably the Mother instinct coming out in me, but is that what usually happens at these events? They get thrown to the mob lol? They were all surrounded and crowded and I think if that had been me in that position I’d have had a meltdown lol. I thought us Brits like to queue. I had a guy stand on my toes and slide my daughter out of the way so he could get Dowdys signature.
I came away slightly apprehensive of taking my kids to another one. Most older fans were great and mindful of small children, but some were deffo not. I think I was expecting something like the signing tents you get at music festivals like Download. Tables and orderly queues lol.
I’ll stop being a grump now, don’t hold it against me, it’s my age lol.
