Always interesting to see how the new guys fare in the Shelter glad we get an exhibition game and some CC games before league games.
May suit someone like Neumann who has been used to smaller ice pads in the OHL.
Hopefully we see some on the scoresheet who haven't found the back of the net yet - always good to see a spread and get confidence going throughout the lineup.
Also hope we play well in front of Ostlund after his first outing where he was left out to dry slightly.

Another poor start. Manchester quicker and sharper to pucks in the slot area.
2-0 so far.
2-0 so far.

However our strong start with special teams keeps up, 2-1 now. Brandon McNally on the PP.

Positive our special teams are working.
Concerning our D have let in 11 goals as a whole so far in three games Ostlund conceding 8 in a game and a half and Greenfield 3.
So far the majority of our goals have been on the PP we look toothless 5 on 5 Neumann, Allen and pitule so far have offered nothing offensively that’s 2 top 6 players not firing yet, it’s early days but Id stick to Greenfield in net and Ostlund as backup our D is too offensive and will get caught out all season if nothing changes a stay at home D man would of been a plus signing.
Let’s hope Connolly makes a difference when he returns but that in itself is another concern!
Edit just watched the replay from yesterday Ostlund should of done a lot better with at least two of them goals!

I know these are exhibition games and a chance to iron out any creases. BUT Belfast hammer Cardiff, Cardiff hammer Manchester, Manchester didn’t quite hammer us but they did beat us.
This doesn’t look like a promising start

5-3 final score. Glad it’s only a pre-season game.
Good for the new players to see what playing in Storm’s rink is all about.
I’ve not seen any games, only highlights, but I’ve already got concerns about the defence and Östlund already. Let’s see how many times we say the same during the season. Hopefully we’ll get the D sorted out once everyone has settled in.
Some further pointers for Fox to analyse I would have thought.

being my local rink, popped down to see the game, ostlund game rusty, 2 of the goals he will want back. Put greenfield in net for now.
Their goalie had a good game to be fair, any rebounds he gave up fell unluckily away from our forwards to convert
Our D are very offensive, could be an interesting season, hence the need for a stud goalie to be on point
Petgrave could be a frustrating player for us, turns it on but also tendency to be too showboating, put us in a couple of sticky situations tonight.
Fwd lines still settling in, thought Neumann had a really good game, pacy, got into dirty areas, deserved MOM for us. Ciampini very low key did not see anything there to suggest he is Vallerand 2.0….underwhelmed.
We were all over them at the end, felt an equaliser was coming before the most ridiculous Penalty call think I’ve seen, still no idea why that was called (nor most of the players tbh!), that killed the game.
It’s a friendly, 3 games in, yes nice to get a win but storm are always hard to break down in their rink. Let’s see where we are end of September, before any panic sets in.
Sort the overly offensive D out is a priority for me at the moment.
