I'm sure this is the second out of three years of his NHL entry level contract.

If so, means next season is likely to be make or break.

Sent to the ECHL is probably the end of the NHL dream unfortunately. Needed to stay and play well in the AHL.

Still, what an experience for him.

Taken from tonight’s game preview -

“Crack on Kirk!: On Tuesday, the Arizona Coyotes reassigned forward Liam Kirk to Atlanta from the Tucson Roadrunners in the AHL. Kirk appeared in one game this season with Tucson and posted two goals and one assist in eight contests last season with the Roadrunners. The Maltby, England native is the first player drafted in the NHL to be both born and trained in England. Kirk was taken by the Coyotes in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL Draft and is currently on an NHL contract with Arizona. The forward made his Gladiators debut on Thursday and recorded one shot. Last night, Kirk recorded his first two ECHL goals with a pair of third-period tallies to extend Atlanta’s lead and break away from South Carolina.”

Keep on like this and may he yet make an AHL return? We’ll wait and see.

Have to say Gladiators’ news page seems more informative than Roadrunners’.

Scored the game winning shootout goal last night.

Great start to life in Atlanta so far for Liam; Roadrunners will no doubt be checking on his progress you'd imagine. That said, they've improved themselves in the last few weeks too.

That's good news, that will help give him some confidence. Although I'd expect Kirk to do well in the ECHL, it's not as higher standard as the AHL.

He will need to do well at Atlanta i.e in the top 3 scorers and then do the same if he gets called back up the Roadrunners.

Based on what he's done so far, which is 2+2 in 6 games, EP projects him to have 20+20 in 61 games.

Something to think over....

Been following the Gladiators and whilst Kirk is a bit slow on the scoring that Neiley bloke looks quite useful.

He's listed on the Gladiators team as a defenceman. If that's not a mistake and he's playing D he's doing ok with 7 points and +4 +/- stats (the best on the team).

Eric Neily is certainly on a rich vein of form.

Update on Kirk.

Games 15 - G 5 - A 6 - Total Points : 11

Elite Prospects have him projected for :

Games 61 - G :20 - A : 24 - Total Pts : 44

Personally I think he'll hit 50+ points for the season.
