Leaving your feet to make a hit has always resulted in a penalty, the only change these days is the emphasis on point of contact. In this case it does look like head/head area and as such should have resulted in additional games in my opinion, they are supposed to looking at player safety and yet they do this. As far as the ISL days are concerned I'd say firstly that we are not in those days anymore and secondly there were plenty of players capable of delivering a big hit legally. Just ask anyone who Steve Carpenter ran over

Its a pity they couldn't manage to put the normal video evidence on for us to see.. This type of thing (no video) drives me barmy.. oh maybe their IT guys had issues!

Knew as soon as he got called as instigator that he wouldn’t be playing the next game.
Whilst I have absolutely no issue in trying to send a message for the next game. He needed to make sure he did that with 5 minutes or more left of the game.
This just hurts the team. Surely players know the rules?

Anything yet on Vallerand’s check to the head? These things generally incur supplementary discipline don’t they?

Seen some criticism of the lack of a ban, mostly from people saying he should "of" been banned instead of should "have", in that case I can ignore their opinions and they can go back to chewing crayons.

There has been plenty of supplementary discipline for check to the head previously so if it was as bad as indicated on the night (a 5 minute major is for a serious offence) I thought he would’ve been banned.
I guess that means it wasn’t that bad after all??
Edit: I didn’t think it was but our view from high up in the building is not the same as on ice.
