An important season defining, never take for granted trip over enemy lines Blah blah blah 4th v 7th game!! :stink:

Just for this Poll only I've added a couldn't care less option for those not feeling the hype for once... you know just in case were not world beaters anymore :-|

For some utterly bizarre reason we've decided to go to this one. :slaphead:

Hopefully we win.
Hopefully we've started to score more than a goal every 2 games by then.
Hopefully the sun comes up.
Hopefully we go again.

I honestly couldn't care less atm.

Hopefully my bleak outlook on hockey will have changed by the time this rare game against our biggest rivals in the solar system rolls around.

I almost voted for the don't care option.

Thing is as fans we should care and I think at the bottom of us we do very much care. That's why there's forums like this for us all to air our points of view on.

It should be exciting battling to see if we can win the league which we are still very much in with a shout of.

Thing is though most of 2023 aint been very exciting at all has it? We appear miles off the pace, out of the 1st trophy race, 4th place and the hockey is a very, very poor watch. Whilst Fox is ultimately responsible the players have to take a long look in the mirror and see that it's just not acceptable and step it up!

The Panthers though are an even worse watch, probably one of THE worse Panthers side I've seen for years. Who remembers the Panthers games of old which were proper leave it all out there on the ice games from BOTH sides? You never really knew which side would come out on top.

Guess at the moment it would be who could be more rubbish than the other :D

Really hope we've turned a corner by this game and it's a good old fashioned rivalry game instead of the manufactured one that we get.

6-2 Steelers.

I’ll be there. Not hopeful of us getting a result however as I think even Nottingham are a better side than us currently with more effective forward players and a far better defensive structure.

4-2 Nottingham.

Game On

NO doubt will be another tame affair, not been able to get excited for these games for several seasons now, remember good times when things kicked off and that was during warm up, think we will win though

Panthers on a high after a 4 point weekend, us stumbling to get any winning momentum - I'm sure it will be packed out so a big test of character for us especially if they get ahead. Last time we played there (around a month ago) I thought we looked good we were relentless and really fought hard for every puck, we'll need that same graft plus some much needed offense. Wouldn't be surprised to see another line shuffle in a bid to get some offensive chemistry going. Hopefully no more guys down with illness and Ciampini and Whistle can play. Could see any combos really and I think Pitule has been good recently so would be difficult to scratch him but also a tough choice to scratch someone else, despite the current lack of form.

4-2 Nottingham.
I'd agree with this.
Fox needs to dial the guys in a bit.
Do the basics, play effectively, play smart and stop overplaying and making dumb plays.
Stay on the puck and play a 200 ft game.
Doesn't matter about style or pretty hockey, play boring and the goals and points will come.

Get that confidence going again.

Hopefully get that power play firing again also cos atm our forwards could stand on a beach, shoot into the ocean and miss.

2-1 Steelers.
