I cant see us being in the running for anything in this game but you never know, surely its all over by this game... we need to have been on hell of a run for this to be anything but a throw away game...

Cardiff should still be in a shout of the title I think, so they'll likely have plenty still to play for.

We're poor at home and against a decent side, not Dundee or Nottingham I expect Cardiff to win comfortably.

4-1 Cardiff.

Doubtful they're a point behind us and 6 behind Belfast with the same games played. They would need to beat Belfast twice this weekend (probably in regulation) for anyone other than Belfast to win it.

More chance of it being a game that has a significant influence on playoff seedings and that's all.

In many ways Cardiff have been just as inconsistent as we have. The down side for us is our form at home has been appalling. As Fox says in his interview, the team need to apply that road game mentality.

Since 30th January:

Flames: Played 11 - Won 5, Lost 5 and OT 1 - 11 points (0.500)
Devils: Played 13 - Won 6, Lost 5 and OT 2 - 14 points (0.538)
Steelers: Played 12 - Won 8, Lost 3 and OT 1 - 17 points (0.708)
Giants: Played 12 - Won 11, Lost 1 - 22 points (0.917)

Giants clearly the in form team and have been dominant recently especially. Cardiff and Guildford have struggled for RESULTS more than we have, I'm not saying we've been playing great but we have managed to bounceback since 3 losses in a row (Manchester and Coventry twice, once in OT) we've taken 8 out of the last 10 points available.

Our home form and performances have certainly been our downfall, we are actually the best team on the road so to be where we are in terms of 5 points behind the Giants shows we've dropped a lot of vital home points, we have an opportunity to correct that slightly with 4 of our last 6 games being at home, which maybe too little too late for the league title, depending on what the Giants and Devils weekend goes like, but it would be good to finish on a high at home going into the playoffs.

Please give Greenfield the night off here and a few games rest. Don’t care who we draw in the playoffs. The guy needs a break, I thought he look shattered in the recent Belfast loss.

We will have zero chance in the playoffs if we go in with a tired goalie.

I would never normally even contemplate doing this, but the England game against Ukraine is starting to look a better option for me this Sunday!
I may have gone to my last home game this season! :slaphead:

I might have had the stream for this.

After watching the Belfast game last night, my money will be staying firmly in my pocket after watching that effort from the team.

Crowd numbers could be very low for this one.

Still got my season ticket so will be going to those games.
Going to the Quarter Final to say goodbye to Jonno at home. Hopefully with it being the first round it’ll we will still be in with a chance of getting to the playoff weekend.
I’ve recently stopped wearing my Steelers Shirts though though, wearing either a Vegas Knights or Help for Heroes one.

I'll see it out this season but had I not got a S/T I'd probably stay home with it being stupid face off Sunday hockey time.
