Ahhhhh the good old deflection technique along with gaslighting. Let’s not focus on the truth…smbmetal wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 10:04 pmSteelers podcast complete with a little dig at the Steeltalk forum of old.

I didn't see the game, but reading various comments it sounds like it was a good game and the team played hard, so no real complaints from me. The league wasn't lost last night, it's been lost with some of the inept home displays since the turn of the New Year.
Looking at the numbers from the night I see Mosey was -2. Petgrave seems to come in for unfair criticism in my eyes (admittedly he was - 3 last night), whereas Mosey has really struggled all year and is bottom of our +/- stats. I've not really seen the speed we saw from him last season and wonder if age is catching up with him, he certainly doesn't look as threatening as he was, That's the danger with signing older players, they're usually on the downward slope, it's just a case of how quickly they're declining.
Whether it's Fox or somebody else in charge next season, I hope we go a little bit younger and a little bit more North American (in terms of where we sign players from).
Regards
Doom

I didn't see the game either.
One of my pals went with his family and said it was one of the better games they've seen this season and they really enjoyed it. Lets hope we can continue this momentum into the remaining games and into the playoffs.
Please can we give Greenfield a night off at some point and try and keep him as fresh as possible for the playoffs!
Unfortunately, I can count the good games on one hand and two of those were loses in Belfast. I've not been to every game but have watched most on streams or have used comments from regular posters and attendees on here for judgement.
Of course that does depend on your own definition of what makes a good game to you. My definition is fast pace with a few hard hits for 60 minutes! We've been lucky to see 20 minutes of that type of hockey per game since the New Year IMO.
For me, the games have been slow, non-contact stuff. Jonathan Fearnley said on the podcast that if the Steelers had brought their away form as their home form, many of us might have less to complain about. With the best away form in the league I think he might have a valid point there. Unfortunately not many fans can make regular away trips.
I'm afraid it's been two seasons and a bit of good hockey before Christmas and then a rapid decline in the New Year which isn't good enough if the Steelers want to win silverware regularly.

Agree re Greenfield 100%, title has gone, let Lavinge step in for 2/3 games that's left remaining.smbmetal wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 9:34 amI didn't see the game either.

No chance - huge risk playing someone who hasn't played in months and risk having to face Blaze in the Q/Fs of the playoffs, instead of Storm or Panthers (who could both beat us but you'd prefer either over the recent form of Cov)BontSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 9:51 amAgree re Greenfield 100%, title has gone, let Lavinge step in for 2/3 games that's left remaining.smbmetal wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 9:34 amI didn't see the game either.
