Dowdy is well used to being A and I'd like to see an experienced Brit as Captain, so I think it's time for him to step up.
Ciampini and Nevalainen both have EIHL experience and seem level headed characters.
The others I've ignored because of their youth, unknown to us and the league and Vally because he's the up beat guy in the dressing room and I'd want him to concentrate on that and his game.
Just my thoughts for what they're worth.
P.S. Not sure why not Allen, I guess he'd be a good reserve.
I would be amazed if anyone bar Dowd was captain, but if not he will be at least an A.
Ciampini has come to the fore as being a thinker and leader so plumped for him. I've then gone for a d man and choice for that is Saucerman. I do think Allen is a good choice too but with him Ciamp likely at least initially starting on same line feel it's good to mix it up.
C - Robert Dowd
A - Scott Allen
A - Daniel Ciampini
Do I get a prize?
Seriously though, that makes sense to me.
Dowd has earned the respect of his team mates over the years, he's been a loyal player for more years than I can remember, he's earned the right to the C.
Ciampini and Allen are both good calls, second year Steelers with huge amounts of experience.
