Looks like Dowdy had a very good 3rd period.
We’ll done Steelers.

Excellent result and really pleasing to see us go down there and out shoot a good Guildford team by 39 to 27.
We do look to have recruited a very exciting squad of players, whether we get silverware will depend on whether Fox can get the best out of them.
Hopefully we can get some settled line combinations sorted fairly soon so that players can build chemistry.
We certainly seem to have settled on the defensive combinations, now for the forwards....not too much tinkering please Mr F.
Great effort tonight guys....safe journey home to all.
Regards

Nicholls was excellent tonight, had a few chances could easily have had 2 or 3. Made some really good passes.
His line with Ciampini and Watling pretty much hemmed Guildford into their own zone every time they were on the ice.

Cheers WS, that sounds very encouraging.wakefieldsteelersfan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 8:37 pmNicholls was excellent tonight, had a few chances could easily have had 2 or 3. Made some really good passes.

Sounds like a good result. Our winning streak in Guildford continues.
I don’t expect Guildford will have quite as an exceptional season as last season. But a good result in their barn all the same.
4 out of 4 points. Can’t argue with that.

Very good effort and result. Too deep for them in the third as last night.
We need to win games like this if we are to challenge for honours. This defence looks to be an upgrade on last year, I really like how they won't be messed about by anyone and Watling looks a potential gem. Greenfield very secure and gives us a really steady base to work from.
We will know more next weekend , going back to the venue of our only preseason defeat.
