Should have won that game by 3-4 goals. Wastefulness of opportunities could haunt us playing against the better teams. I would like to see Kielly given a run out for a few games, maybe at the expense of Neumann or Simpson. Top two lines are going fairly well, especially the second.

This might not be popular, but I'd probably add Ciampini (two penalties last night and bottom of +/-) and Allen (1 assist in 6 games) to that list.

Based on current form, I'd probably rotate Neumann, Simpson, Ciampini, Allen and Kielly.

If any of them start to put up the numbers, then take them off the rotation.

I really like what Balmas brings to the table, I think he's working both ends of the ice well and I'd like to see us make more use of him at faceoffs. Looking at the Elite stats he's currently won 14 and lost 3.

Regards

I'll always take the win in a mid week Scotland trip. The fact we are creating lots of chances is good, even if not as many going in as we'd like. Way better than last year where I felt we struggled to create good opportunities consistently, despite often having a much larger share of possession.

Keep creating chances and eventually we'll start scoring more of them. Allen, Neumann, Vallerand, Dowd all proven can score. Balmas and Nicholls are putting chances away and look like they'll put up quite a few each.

Essentially I think we're fine right now. Not perfect, but I wouldn't expect that yet. Still only had 10/12 games together.
