One of my friends just whatsapped the tweet, it is really classless.

I’m shocked your club are ok with some of his social media stuff.

Have to say that sort of tweet is likely to go viral and will do your club no favours. This is such a sensitive situation.
When you say "our club" is ok, many of us are not ok about it. He embarrasses us on a regular basis and it's no surprise that he is the one who has made a crass posting. The only person who can do something about it is the owner who is too gutless to act.
If there has been an EIHL meeting with teams to discuss the re-arrangement /. Cancellation of games etc then Tony Smith would know all about this , is he using DS as the ‘voice’’ to air his disapproval as he cannot come out and say something like this .? If not then he needs to take a long hard look at the image this portrays of his club because this has left a very sour taste .. the poor guys not been dead two weeks & he’s griping about lost revenue. Disgraceful.

I would recommend watching the 4000 and counting podcast that was released yesterday. It's quite long at 1hr50m but I found it entertaining and informative all the way through. The parts that are relevant to this tragic issue start around the 49 minute mark and move through the subjects of Planet Ice, Bob W and Simms. A word of caution for anyone who doesn't like to hear bad language, it is probably not appropriate for anyone who will get upset by the occasional F-bomb. There are no videos or images of the incident shown.

A very good and insightful listen.

Interesting in the final 10 minutes too, where they discuss how the EIHL may become affected as time passes with civil cases.

It seems there are some journalists out there who can write without sensationalising the subject matter, reflect calmly and yet accurately convey the impact of this incident.

Recommended reading.

An excellent article. Easily the best I’ve read on the tragic events. Professional journalism at it’s best.
