Game On

Always good to keep the shutouts tallying up. This group keeps working, no slackers in there. Last few seasons just wanted a team that seemed to care and put the graft in and that is what we have up to now . So happy fan here

Another excellent performance by Shudra so far.

Shudra is the find of the season on current form
Shudra has done really well this season so far. He’s certainly become an important player for us especially with him being able to play both forward and defence.

At 25 years old, that is exactly what I’d expect him to be doing though to be honest. He’s no longer the young kid.

He isn't the young kid I agree, but I do think we are getting much more than we thought we would get, defensively responsible but also at ease up front, with some of the others we knew what they could do, like Juusola for example, the gamble there was could he step up from where he was last year and he certainly has but we knew the skills were there. Shudra has been a huge bonus for the club with the level of performance we are seeing.

Panthers unlucky not to score in the 3rd, which was undoubtedly our worst period over the two games. Fortunately Greenfield was at the top of his game and shut the door.

A great start to our very tough Christmas schedule with 3 wins out of 3 so far......Storm up next.

Looking back, last season we also had a very good Christmas period, but things started to unravel mid January with home defeats on consecutive Saturday's.

Let's hope this group don't run out of steam in the New Year and can keep their outstanding form going. I do feel more confident with this group of players. Also, I don't see any of the opposition capable of going on the sort of run Belfast had last season, unless they bring in new bodies.

All very positive at the moment, let's hope we stay relatively injury free.

Regards

If we do reach the challenge cup final Foxy will have an interesting dilemma . Do you play the best goalie in the country or the one who has got you to the final .?

I agree with Doom that the current rosters of all our opposition are probably not capable of a sustained spell of form to catch and overtake Steelers. The only possibility is that Belfast will overcome all their injury problems which would effectively make them a new team. They have been incredibly unlucky this season. This contrasts with their previous couple of seasons free of injury. They are already making some progress. Cardiff surely remain our major opponents and and if they win the four pointers could still turn the tables on us.

Just watched it and that save from Rok right at the end of the video, great save but anyone else see the D man throw his stick to try and cut out the pass before the shot ?, surely that is a penalty shot offence, missed call by the officials I think.
