Breaking News: Nick Seitz Joins the Flames - Confirmed
GAME THREAD: Steelers v Storm. Sat.

I was having a look at our stats the other day and Nevalainen currently sits proudly at the top of the +/-. He was also second last year on our +/-, only just behind Petgrave.
What an excellent signing he's been for us and so reliable, almost guaranteed a 7/10 minimum every night. I don't remember him winning a man of the match award this season and he probably won't, because he's curbed his attacking instincts to play a more defensive role which means he's not putting up the points (he was top scoring defenceman on his Norwegian team when he joined).
I bet when Fox is looking at re-signing players next season Nev is near the top of the list.
I think if anybody deserves to do an Eddy it's him.
After the big build up watch him have a stinker on Saturday.

I guess we'll be just down to the 15 imports this weekend, which gives us 9 forwards and 5 on defence.....and that assumes everybody is fit.
I see the Cardiff supporters are saying what a ridiculous situation it is and I'd agree, but at least they have Batch and Duggan as a bit of insurance.
With the call up of Shudra we have nobody unless we can bring in a token Brit.
It's going to be a tough weekend, especially on Sunday against a rested Coventry team.
Obviously I hope I'm wrong, but I can see us dropping points this weekend due to the situation we've been put in.
Belfast are also in a similar situation, although I believe they are missing 6 players.

What is the situation regarding Steeldogs players and any possibility of 2 way players being used, do we have any now? And would we get the chance or classed as priority from the owners point of view. I know they have their own games but is it more essential we dont lose our weekend games than they do, dont flame me, thats just a question that surely will have been asked at some point, if not now surely next season when Fox has a bigger say over there?

It wouldn't surprise me if Fox calls on a player or 2 from the Steeldogs for tonight seeing as they don't play Jay.Jayboy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 8:37 amWhat is the situation regarding Steeldogs players and any possibility of 2 way players being used, do we have any now? Jono & Hewy back in Orange tonight please!!
It’s certainly going to be a tougher weekend that is for sure.
Let’s be honest though, we’ve not really had to play short too many times this season. Most of the time we have an import player sat in the stands. How many lower budget teams would like to afford that luxury?
There’s always a chance of injuries when having to play short of course with the extra load on the players, but I think it’s a good test of a squad’s willingness to win when you have to play short.
Least Fox doesn’t have to dress less Blazer once did.
I’m very interested to see how we get on. Just hope don’t pick up any injuries.
