A great effort by the guys. The only top seed from this round to go through to the final qualification round. Last done in 2013 for GB.

Guess it's still a long shot to actually get Olympic Qualification though? Plus even if we did which would be an amazing achievement there'd be no media coverage.

Out of interest (and for people far more informed than myself), in the unlikely event GB were to qualify for the Olympics does that give them the opportunity to apply for funding from the relevant sports governing body?

Mentioned it on the other thread, GB Ice Hockey got awarded £100k for making the final qualifiers back in 2013. (Hopefully will get something similar again now.) David Clarke was also interviewed by CNN, which went out to about 60-odd million people. Final qualifiers may not attract much mainstream media, but if they did qualify for the Olympics, that would generated plenty, plus more funding.

Excellent. It’s certainly worth doing well in the international events then when it comes to Olympic qualification.

GB's final qualifying group is likely to be in Denmark (Aalborg) against the hosts, Norway and Slovenia. Just depends on whether Belarus and Russia all allowed back into the competition.
