Another Greenfield shut out - which by all accounts makes it his 8th of the season, what an outstanding tender this guy is.

Looking at his stats he's on nearly 94% save percentage with just 1.67 goals against per game.

Well played tonight boys, that game was a potential banana skin & we came up with the 2 points, it makes it even better when both Devils & Giants have lost tonight.
I think devils won tonight
Doh! They did & I wrote it on the scores round the league as well! What a Grade A Muppet.

I was just going off Flashscore tbh Jay.

Double figures for the season, that's very impressive.....

For the stats folk out there, what's the record shutout in a season for A Steelers netminder & for A EIHL season??

EIHL stats page has him at 8 in the league, 1 in the cup. There was a game he was heading for a shutout and was replaced by Laing towards the end.....shared shutouts don't appear to be reflected in the stats column.

Just noticed that Balmas' 2 points tonight now put him as joint top points scorer in the league with 44 from 36. Can understand why Fox jumped at the chance to bring him in at the last minute when he became available.

I believe our last home league win against Guildford was 15/1/22, so over 2 years ago.

For some reason they seem to like playing on our ice, but we need to change that tomorrow because we can't afford to open the door to Cardiff.

I was having a look at the remaining fixtures earlier today and Cardiff do have a much easier run in, with 12 of their 20 being on home ice.

Let's have a solid professional win tomorrow and put down a marker for the final.

Any news on Simpson?

Regards

Sounds like a very good result with officially of 9,000 quoted as the attendance.

We've also broken Guildford's good run at the arena.

Well done lads!
