Lost 4-1 and apart from the first 10 mins there was really no risk of us winning that. Not important. Good workout. PK looked OK Difficult to comment on individual players due to poor transmission and numbers on shirts not as we expected. Will be interesting to see if we have developed on Monday. Work to be done now.

Disappointing to lose 4 - 1, but I don't think you can read too much into it.
We probably had as many decent scoring chances, but weren't as clinical as Manchester. Werninger was also very good.
Of the new guys, I liked Huttula. Janatuinen looked off the pace, but that was to be expected.
I didn't really notice any of the other new guys.
Are face offs going to be an issue next season?
Good to have hockey back, hopefully we'll shake the rust off soon enough.
Regards

Looked ( from the little I could see via the webcast ) very much like a team getting to know each other. Had we been given some numbers and names we might have been able to get to know a few too!
It was just like watching two teams you don't know.

Looking at the gamesheet Manchester scored 4 from 17 shots on goal, we scored 1 from 26.
The quality of the picture wasn't great, but it did feel like a fairly even game with Manchester being a little more clinical with their chances.
Vally and Tansey on the ice for 3 of the Manchester goals.
I don't particularly like losing, but if you're going to do it, it may as well be in a fairly meaningless game.
Plenty of room for improvement, which I'm sure will come.

A few players out, backup nettie in and first game of pre-season playing in the smallest rink in the league, nobody should be drawing any conclusions from that game. I note that Fox basically said he wouldn't know how well it went until he had studied the video, that should tell you everything.

Let’s hope we e got our own video! Identifying our players should be easy if you know the numbers. Storm have come up with the brilliant idea of black numbers on black shirts. What numbskull created that?
