cracking and very tough game to get league defence started,,,lets put a marker down to rest of league by beating giants who are our main rivals for title in my eyes,,,,,, 3-2 steelers win. nothing better than seeing keefe spitting dummy out in defeat
I can't say I'm particularly confident, but I did say that about the CHL games and our team kept proving me wrong.
Belfast were my pick for the league title and they've started really well, so I think this will be incredibly difficult.
If we play like we did against Vaxjo then I think we'll edge it, if we play like we did last weekend we'll lose.
Faceoffs could be crucial in this one. With Conway back Belfast are likely to be very strong, whereas I'm not convinced we'll be as good as we were last season with Allen having left.
It should be a good game between two of the three teams who are expected to challenge for the league title....let's put down a marker.

I think this will be a stern test and we will need to lift our game from last weekend. I believe we have the ability but cannot take anything for granted. Hopefully Foxy will prepare the boys well

Agree with Doom about the faceoffs. We haven’t been dominant this season so far but have survived by recovering the puck before any harm was done. That might not be quite so easy against Belfast. It could be our Achilles heel. I hope not.

Personally feel like this game will go into OT, even potentially PS.
Steelers to edge it but boy will it be a tough one

I think maybe we're looking at the 2 CC games as a barometer has to how we are playing or how we can play and it is perhaps more realistic I agree.. However if we can attack this game in the same way we did our champions league games then Belfast should not hold any fear for us...
I have not yet forgotten how we played those 4 games and for me, that is how I am judging how well we can play...

Belfast will be a very tough nut to crack this season, having thrown a lot of money at their squad
We need to get back to the mentality we had in the CHL, because I expect the Giants to be close to that level, but with more motivation than our CHL opponents.
With the exception of their home game against Dundee, Belfast have generally been winning their games quite comfortably. I expect us to be on the back foot quite a lot today, so hopefully we can stand firm.
It should be a good game and very difficult to call which way it will go.
