Problem is, our worse fears have come to fruition and Greener is hurt.

From what I've heard the Italian netminder isnt good enough and we've now signed a Finn who is pretty rusty, the kid has hardly played over the last few years

It'll take the new kid a while to get upto speed, what a massive shame we didn't have Morrone as our back up this year, as he proved last year he was that able back up.

I've got everything crossed that that the new kid will get upto scratch and the pace of our game and win us some games.

He looked a bit rusty but I'm not surprised by that, some good stops in there. We got off to a slow start, we improved after that but had no puck luck. We were the best hockey team for large parts of the game but nothing went for us. Coming back by winning the third period is a good sign of the morale in the squad, IBN played well, Dowd was quiet, lots still carrying injuries quite obviously. We lost and I can't argue the result but we didn't quit which still gives me confidence.

To be honest I don't think this team has got it in them to start roughing tactics. Oh for a Zac Fitzgerald.

Not withstanding the dodgy start by the nettie, we outshot them 67/49 and SOG 38/31. It was the same on Sunday and is quite worrying our inability to put the puck in the net.
