Looks like from the article he's aiming higher than the EIHL.

I dont understand how he can.
Failed in germany
Failed in Sweden
Failed in Denmark
Not well thought of in the UK amongst a high number of supporters.
However he does have a habit of failing upwards.
Has a decent trophy cabinet on his CV though which will help, also seems to very well thought of by his players so he'll get strong references.

the problem with his CV is a lot of his success was a long time ago when other teams were weaker, or when was handed a good Steelers team with few changes needed more recently. As time went on, his influence on the Steelers grew, the worse we got despite the benefit of an owner pumping lots of resources into the club.
I notice you guys are pushing season tickets on Twitter, but with so much uncertainty I’m surprised.
Personally, I can’t see cant hockey taking place next season, social distancing will likely be in place until early next year, ruling out spectator sports and we can’t survive without fans coming through the doors.
I’d imagine it’ll be hard on our owners as I assume we still have to pay our expensive Brits, regardless if the season goes ahead or not..
I just hope the league is not a long term victim of this dreadful virus.

Probably just build a bit of interest off the cash & refund if necessary (either in full or part depending on structure of season).
I understand that Dave Simms thought it would be insensitive to announce any players signings about five weeks ago, but surely now that other clubs have announced a few player signing........why can't the Steelers provide us with some new information.
I find it difficult to understand how anyone can announce signings when the structure of the season ahead is unknown, how you can draw up a contract with a player must be difficult.
I would have thought that a "statement of intent" was about as far as you could go at the moment.
Things are changing quickly so hopefully there will be good news soon.

Contracts will have a "Corona Clause" I'd have thought.
