A good day today.
5x25+ goal scorers signed up and arguably the league's best offensive d-man last year.

I'd say that's a good day overall. With the exception of Hrabl, all the players I wanted back have re-signed.
I was slightly less enthused with the last two re-signings. Johnson was excellent before his injuries, but really struggled for form afterwards. If we get the pre-injury Johnson back then I'll be delighted.
Armstrong is decent enough, but he goes missing too often for my liking. Had a good season with face offs, but I expected more overall.
I guess that's the end of re-signings and the rest will be new players to our league.

Two-way, 6"2 big body and throws it around but he's fairly slight but that can be worked on. Decent footspeed and can produce offensively.Johnny777 wrote:Does anyone know much about Sam Jones? Style of play? Attacking? Physical etc?
Not the finished article yet but with good on-ice & off-ice coaching could develop into a great long term project for us.

Armstrong when he is really on his game is great. Winning face offs, dominating physically and retaining puck possession. His problem is instead of playing like this 1 in every 2-2.5 games it is 1 in every 5-6 games. Just not frequent enough.Octopussy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 6:27 pmI'd say that's a good day overall. Depends on Fox employing 2 centres that can win face offs. If not we will be looking to big John and Connolly to try and win a few. So yeah 3rd or 4th. But depends on a centre who's CV is on the button..
