GAME THREAD: Steelers v Stars: LEAGUE: Sat 4th Oct

Part one of a Scottish weekend and our first LEAGUE game of the 2025/2026 season.

Down to real business, the league,,,, with home advantage on paper would be expecting a 4 point w/end but in reality we shall see,,

Dundee are top of their Challenge cup group and unless we’ve ironed out some of our issues this week we could be in for a tough challenge tonight.

I’ll be there and hope to see some improvement on last Saturday.

I'm hoping to see a full 60 minute performance tonight, something we've not seen so far this season.

We've seen periods of good play, like the 3rd in Nottingham, but we've failed to string together 3 really solid periods of hockey.

If everybody is fit i hope Seitz plays tonight and one of the defence sits out.

Will we see the same lines or will Fox experiment with something different?

For me Greenfield plays the next 3 games. We need the best chance possible to get off to a good start in the league and the CC game against Notts could be pivotal in our group stage.

Game 9 for us, including the 3 pre-season games. I’d expect we should be up to speed now.

I’ve not been particularly impressed with the team so far in the games I’ve seen.

Now is the time to put in a strong performance and make a good start to the long league campaign.

Dundee are the current top scorers in the CC and they also have the 2nd worst defence, so it will be interesting to see how they approach this one. They have certainly started the season well.

I expect a close game, 3-2 Steelers.

So yet again we run with 11F and 7D with Seitz left out. This is gonna be an issue for us long term.

Did anyone have connections issues with the stream. I watch mine through the.TV usually. Occasionally the PS4. Tonight neither would connect, so it's laptop & HDMI to tv.
It's lost a bit of picture quality, but at least I've got it.
Just thought it was odd, as I watched last weeks via the tv.
