The placid style of hockey that Fox insists on building and playing is quite trying when the passing is as sloppy as it’s been, the need for a 1001 chances to score a goal and a lot of turnovers to boot, it’s early in the season but not screaming title contenders but based on results so far that could apply to every side to be honest….see what weds brings

There’s no spark! We seem to have a better power play but other than that it’s bland.

Well, that was flat. Scrappy for both teams really. Can't believe we didn't fix the neutral zone coverage after the first period. Passing poor but nothing sat nice and flat all night.
Overcommitted on the puck and play far too often, and gave up too many odd man rushes.
A lot of work to do, but there's a couple of forwards who really need to work it out quickly, or I'm pretty sure there'll be a change or two.
It's going to be an interesting league this year. All teams seem up and down, Belfast go down on penalties to Dundee, Nottingham bounce back and stuff Cardiff 0-5, Guildford and Coventry tied at 1 in the 3rd

With the exception of Dowd this team has been entirely picked by Fox so no excuses as in previous years. Very poor in third period. I hate Fox's style of playing, bland with none or very little physicality, not even retaliatory physicality. In six years under Fox we have had one good season. It is my opinion that the fanbase needs another coach with a different way of playing. The once great House of Steel has become a House of Straw under Fox. Just my opinion guys after 34 years of watching.

What would the changes be? Easy to change Seitz, young guy, new to the team and limited ice time, yet guys with plenty of ice time, good Steelers history like Balmas and Juus very underwhelming so far.ginger wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 7:41 pmWell, that was flat.
