Soft in d zone and Flames playing with some grit and snarl. Lots of decent cycling in the o zone but not many decent shots on goal. 5 on 3 pp was very average

Not watching, apart from the EIHL app (the modern version of watching a game on Ceefax), but 5 on 3 for nearly the full 2 minutes without an outcome - that's got to be classed as poor hasn't it?
Better 2nd period from us. Should be easily winning this. PP is very average. Can’t be giving teams 3 goal head starts.
Guildford are tiring being slightly short-benched.
Carry on as we are and I only see a Steelers win here.
Well done to Dowd, who has now surpassed Mr Ron Shudra on the all time Steelers highest points scorer. What an achievement!

To me this first period was almost as bad as at Manchester. Our D is at times poorly organised but also far too soft and easily deprived of the puck. We need to go into battle better. I’m afraid I think the poor PP and the first period showed what many of us thought might be the case. We have 12 forwards but rather too few natural goal strikers.
