Maybe a DOPS incident as Spencer ( Clan ) throws a Steeler to the ice and then smashes their head into the ice, ejected from the game

Well, thoroughly enjoyed that to be fair. Didn't actually go in the end but watched the stream for the first time, which I thought was surprisingly good quality - very professional. Knocked spots off the quality of IFollow streams used in the football league.

Super second period after a frustrating first - great to see Gettinger getting his share of the goals - let's hope he's finding his feet and its the start of something better.

Arena is getting a brand new sound system. Finally. Will be around 3 weeks before its in, hence the temporary set up tonight. Yes, it must have been annoying for those finding themselves sat next to the temporary speakers and being told by Simmsy that they were free to move to other seats if they couldnt take it. But the alternative was no game, as the existing system is clearly not functional any longer and you cant host an event with over 7k people with no PA system.

I thought Simmsy pitched it OK. Couldn't have been more apologetic on behalf of the club, even though its clearly an arena issue.

Feel exactly the same @DSLSteeler - really enjoyed that.

Heart sank in the first 5mins as thought it was headed the wrong way but boy did things pick up.

Glasgow didn’t take it lying down for spells and I thought Greenfield had an outstanding game - some absolute highlight reel saves.

Shameful play from Clans Spencer at the end trying to slam Teissala’s face into the ice.. Steele got in there quickly to his credit. Thought he had a really good game generally. So many guys had such a good game tonight.

Let’s not think too much about some of the PP play…

Almost HT for Gettinger… next time…
Cheers

Well that makes the long journey back to High Green a lot better tonight.

There's still elements of our play to be concerned about, but overall tonight was a big positive.

I thought the Brits were excellent. Whistle seems much more at home in Sheffield than Belfast. IBN looks like he belongs at this level. Steele had 3 assists and was the first to react to the dirty play from the Glasgow player.

I'm delighted to see Gettinger get a couple and he was also fantastic at faceoffs, although outside that I didn't see much else....but it's still a positive.

I also thought Balmas and Archambault were both excellent with their passing, which is why Gettinger scored his brace.

I still think we gave Glasgow too many good opportunities, but fortunately tonight a mixture of Greenfield and bad finishing means we have a shut out.

Let's take this form into Manchester.

Regards

Fife 10 Guildford 2!!!!

Early days but so far looking like it will be a different story for Fife this year.

Great to see them competitive and certainly no mugs, but still bottom 3 for me.

Game On

well the obvious,,,,, its a win , 5 goals and a shutout, cant knock that. Clan are poor and you can only beat what is in front of you. But nothing so far this season about this team excites me,,,, still think our wins will be more about how poor the opposition is as opposed to how good we are,,,,,, time will tell

Fife - TEN!!. Bloody hell.

And to think only a couple of weeks ago, Guildford spanked us, Cardiff and Nottingham in the space of a week.
