Dowdy, I remember chatting to Mickey Lyon’s when he played for Wednesday towards the end of his career and had been out injured. He claimed that although he was slower he read teh game better and was fit enough to last for 90. He said He always wondered how you would know it was time to retire. Now he knew it was when you took so long to recover from injury that it was no longer worth it. Hope Dowd isn’t there yet.

We have too many forwards whose first instinct is to pass rather than shoot. Take those two out and there’s not much left.

Ahead on shots and faceoffs , as some predicted on here before the start of the season we needed support for Balmas in the shape of another top goalscorer, appreciate Balmas might just be being rested tonight as there's less riding on this game than there is tomorrow.
