Blaze goal!
Another bad penalty costs as Hammond rifles high! It’s getting reviewed but was definitely backbar.
5-6.

Terrible Blaze giveaway allows Connolly to end proceedings by wrapping into the empty net.
5-7 the result.

Dreadful 3rd marred by indiscipline and complacency allowed a hard working Blaze side to get back from 1-6 to 5-6. But we got the result in the end.
Really need to sort out discipline before the next stages.

I’m afraid to say that I am disgusted by the brainless idiots wearing our shirts. This is becoming a pattern game after game. Mindless indiscipline. Fox needs to get a grip of them. It isn’t cleaver and it isn’t pretty. Unfortunately we have Simms applauding it so what can you expect. Winning 6 1 and could have actually lost the game. Not acceptable.

I agree with others about our complacency and indiscipline. This could cost us heavily in the semis and if we get there, the final. We have enough experience on our roster to handle it better, however the problem seems to be coming from the senior players.

Indiscipline is an issue. However, the lads are getting frustrated with non calls and liberties being taken.
ASD was getting whacked and refs let it go.
Kroghdal was trying to cleave off Dowds crown jewels with his stick, and Is a repeat offender, he got his just deserts and deserves more of the same.
The calling is inconsistent. Let stuff go, then call retaliation.
Obviously need to take that into account but when you are getting hacked and chopped without ref protection you need to do something about it.
Same with Davey. He was taking the guy on who'd left a stick in on Warburton. We've moaned for a few years about liberties being taken. Didnt happen tonight.
It's more the lazy pens. Offensive zone hooks, trips etc that are more annoying.
A good performance, perfect, not by a long shot. Thought the guys skated much better individually and collectively, the transition, passing and puck handling was much better-more like the first few games.

Brainless idiots is a bit strong. I'm also pretty sure Simms applauding it won't have any effect on what happens on the ice.Bryan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 9:19 pmI’m afraid to say that I am disgusted by the brainless idiots wearing our shirts. Yes we do need to get the discipline sorted and stop conceding soft goals but at least we had some entertainment in a game that ultimately means nothing. Nice to see some emotion, it's been lacking over the last few years.
I expect us to tone it down a bit when something is really on the line.
As for it's not clever or pretty......Dowd's right fist on the chin of Krogdahl was very pretty. The double punch from ASD certainly welcomed the college kid to the mans game too. lol
