Slightly off topic with regards to this game but speaking about DOPES. Will Springer of the Manchester Goons be suspended for continuing to punch the Devils guy a couple of times whilst flat on the ice. Want to see some Consistency.
With regards to this game, two in two days. One suspension. Barely three full lines and one week into pre season. Going to be tough. The legs will be heavy early doors I think.
Hope its as feisty as I hear last night's game was at times!!

Gutted no Hodgman, disappointed no ASD but good to see Shudra and Whistle. Will need all the bodies we can muster.

No Todd either. This is why I get scared with longer pre seasons.paul johnston wrote:Gutted no Hodgman, disappointed no ASD but good to see Shudra and Whistle. Will need all the bodies we can muster.

For me that was a goal all day long, goal ruled out, a very harsh decision, video evidence was inconclusive at best... ruled out for high sticks.. score remains 0-3

It’s all very pre season. 3-1 Panthers.
Lots of individual errors on both sides the only real difference being Nottingham’s clinical finishing. We’ve created plenty but are overplaying & Carr is playing well.
Maybe a slight Nottingham edge in slickness & sharpness? But that’s as expected with our missing players & a week less prep.
The main thing is no injuries so far.

I thought the main difference that period was Panthers defensive coverage was better than ours, but that's to be expected with so many missing from our lineup.
We seemed to get stronger as the period went on.
Great shift by Dowd for our goal.
Quite an entertaining period for a friendly, with a bit of an edge.

Big mistake by steelers. A ridiculous amount of high contrast graphics on the ice makes it almost impossible to follow the puck on the broadcast. Comparison with nottingham last night where there was no problem at all.
Btw it must have been a goal we saw no evidence to overturn the on ice Decision. Couldn’t even tell if it hit the offending stick. Absurd.
