Latal was struggling with his left ankle at the end too. Could barely skate at the end of the game.

And with a short pre-season we are straight into real games at the weekend. No time to recover.

We could be a few bodies down already.

Thank you, so quite a few noticeable players to be missing then, all things considered not an hurrendous outcome from tonight’s game…..hopefully get everyone back and go again next week when it matters

Pretty sure was just the once. Few new tunes in there, but as with any music, won’t be able to please everyone.

My main observations from last night.

Shudra shouldn't be anywhere else now in 2 way, more than good enough for a regular shift either on d or as a forward.

Jones needs work but looks promising.

Mosey may be a very good signing and looks like he has plenty of gas left in the tank.

Overall we looked like a side that needs match practice and we are a few games behind some of the other clubs and I just hope we don't get caught flat footed in those games.

Shudra has been a strange one. I've always felt done enough to be fourth line player/d man or swing player.
Definitely a victim this year of the ridiculous 19 player bench rules. Already looking a stupid decision.

I thought Shudra played pretty well last night. Jones, for me, the jury is still out, seemed very lightweight and will be a sink or swim season for him I think. he level of expectation at Sheffield will be nothing like he has ever experienced and makes or breaks players.

I sadly didn't see any improvement in young Whistles game, skating, positionally, speed, physicality. I may be expecting too much. However, having been brought back in, I'd have hoped to have seen a spark and spring in him. He seems very overwhelmed when on the ice.

Dowd still sets the tone for me, he's the one player we have who just grabs he game by the scruff of the neck and makes things happen. Latal looks promising and reminded me a bit of Mossienko. Mosey is very calm and brings little bits of everything. Ellerby, poistionally sound, likes a hit and when we have ASD back there is a bit of physicality back there.

If we'd had a full line up, I doubt Doherty would have gotten away with some of his antics last night.

Fox has said there was ice issues in the third with the puck sticking. Is the new ice plant in now?

Hope it’s not a theme.
