Yet another CC game, I really don't know why we have to play each team in our group 8 times!! I'm sure 4 times is enough.

I'd play one of the Brit goalies in this. Sounds like there were a couple of injuries picked up during the Coventry game, so rest those and bring in Shudra, Whistle and Graham if they are available.

Although not important in the grand scheme of things, could do with a good performance to build momentum.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous schedule for a cup competition I've ever seen.

Did they concoct this in the pub?

Anyway, like what's been previously said, need to get back on track so let's see what happens.

No Connolly or Ellerby. Stojanovič starts backed up by Brust who is named in an away roster for the first time.

No Alex Graham in the lineup.

Tom Pering & Stefan Hogarth in charge which is sure to make things interesting.

So injuries hitting the team, and with reduced squad size could be 2.5 line hockey soon.

Couple of big losses there but hopefully we can put in a gritty road game and build some momentum!!

From the game sheet looks like we will going with the below:

Latal-Armstrong-Sointu
Dowd-Eberle-Vallerand
DeLuca-Hodgman-Jono

ASD-Todd
Davey-Schulze
Jones-Mosey

Rok

Apparently we’re 0 & 5 under Fox on a Friday.

Interesting forward lines, bad timing Oleksuk moving on and Connolly being injured.
Is that a demotion for Hodgman centreing a line with an underperformed Deluca and Jonno, or does he feel that's going to get Deluca firing on all cylinders.
Ellerby is a big miss, he was really finding his feet, his defensive play has been underrated.
0-5 on a Friday, jeez surely tonight is the night to break that record!!

Steelers win 7-4 in Altrincham.

Played catchup for a bit but managed to be more clinical with our chances in the end, some suspect D hanging Stojanovič out to dry but the W is what matters.

Brust unbeaten on around 15 shots after Stojanovič pulled.

Manchester’s new boy Tayler Thompson failed to see out the game, he was dismissed with 30 seconds remaining for cross-checking, 5+Game for him, he’ll fit in perfectly there.

This win makes us the first side to win 700 EIHL games.
