Wouldn't he be allowed to play on appeal?

How long after the first test does a second test normally occur? I'd imagine it would have to be quick as depending on the substance in question it could be out of the system in an extra 24/48 hours?
All seems to have gone quiet which could be quite telling.
Either way the club needs to communicate the outcome.

And in negative stories like this one when they dont, historically is usually means they dont want to, for fear of either making it worse or the actual embarrassment it can cause later down the line when the full truth of the story surfaces...Steeling thunder wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 2:55 pmHow long after the first test does a second test normally occur? It's a sad way to end but I feel he was one player at risk of being let go. To me he was really fighting his game this year, his discipline was poor, continuously getting too frustrated and whacking and chopping opponents with his stick repeatedly. His all round game was letting him down.
Whether that was due to the reasons he was eventually suspended then moved on for, or due to the covid break, who knows.

Very sad. I thought he was improving nicely last season and was really looking forward to seeing him play this season.
He’s been pretty disappointing all season though and before the drug testing news I also wouldn’t have been surprised if he was replaced.
A poor way to end his Steelers career.

But surely now is the time for the club to make an official announcement..
It may be hard of course, he caused a great deal of embarrassment to the club, but when a player leaves I do think the fans deserve the truth by the way of an explanation in greater detail...

Selective communication by our club. Certain club officials mention it on random podcasts. That’s the way we get to find out.Jayboy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 10:37 pmBut surely now is the time for the club to make an official announcement..

It’s not the club’s fault he’s failed a drugs test. The club can’t control what players do in their own time.
They’ll be a shirt raffle on though. That will be well communicated.
I still don’t understand how he can sign for another club failing a drugs test.

To be perfectly honest I'm not really that interested in the finer details and maybe the club are too embarrassed about what's happened to make any further comments but a certain level of dignity and professionalism about it all wouldn't go a miss.
I’m not interested in the finer details either.
My point is we supposedly hear that he’s signed for another club from a club official via a podcast unrelated to the Steelers.
All the club need to do is say that DeLuca has left the club with immediate effect.
Not difficult.
