Non long unfortunately, as much as it would anger me a lockdown in early 2022 appears inevitable.

Yes the writings on the wall think it will end quite abruptly now followed like steelerblade says another lockdown come January.
With the Belfast weekend games now cancelled I can’t see us playing either Boxing Day or New Year’s games.

I think Nottingham should be out of mandatory isolation by then so bar unforeseen circumstances should be okay, might put a few off though with big crowd.smbmetal wrote:With the Belfast weekend games now cancelled I can’t see us playing either Boxing Day or New Year’s games.

This is the news coming out of Wales tonight......
Following verified reliable multiple sources we can report that the Welsh Government this Friday will significantly increase restrictions to further slow the spread of the Omicron Covid variant.
Hospitality will of course, once again, be at the forefront of restrictions, which from midnight Friday 17th December will include…
Rule of 6 in pubs with table service only.
Nightclubs closed.
Large events cancelled such as festive gatherings and fairgrounds.
Sporting events with more than 500 people must be played behind closed doors.
Gyms and leisure facilities can remain open with limited capacity.
All shops and retail to remain open with limited capacity and strict enforcement of mask wearing.
Two homes (numbers unlimited) can form a bubble.

Aren't we supposed to playing Cardiff this Saturday (18th)? Behind closed doors then? Can't see that lasting long financially.BontSteeler wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 11:27 pmThis is the news coming out of Wales tonight......

I fear for our game, I'm not sure how much more money owners can put in to keep teams afloat.smbmetal wrote: ↑Thu Dec 16, 2021 8:26 amAren't we supposed to playing Cardiff this Saturday (18th)? There is a huge risk that our own players could test positive before then, doesn't matter about Nottingham being available.SteelerBlade wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 10:18 pmI think Nottingham should be out of mandatory isolation by then so bar unforeseen circumstances should be okay, might put a few off though with big crowd.smbmetal wrote:With the Belfast weekend games now cancelled I can’t see us playing either Boxing Day or New Year’s games.

All sports events (Indoor and Outdoor) in Wales to be behind closed doors after Christmas
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-59729129
So I suppose this will mean Cardiff will have either no spectator games or no games at all.
